Placement matches were obviously only the beginning. I am going to see games where I end up as last pick. The only scary part of this game was that despite being last pick only Zed and myself had gold borders.
Despite this game being such a blow-out it was a lot of fun. It was probably more fun for my team than for the enemy team though. Very early on I forced Tristana to trade with Ezreal. I landed my full combo and she managed to jump in and deal some damages. Ezreal bursted me almost to death and left me with ignite ticking on me. I watched as my life slipped lower and lower. I had disengaged from the fight, but I was almost out of mana and had the pleasure of burning to death. On the second to last tick of ignite my mana pool filled enough for me to self-cast heal and survive. I was almost giddy thinking about how upset that Ezreal had to be.
We took that small lead and exploited it. We got to the point where Ezreal wouldn’t get a chance to blink before he would be dead. Teemo was completely worthless in bot lane. I would pink ward in the bottom bushes and watch as Tristana shot down his mushrooms.
Our roam was intense. We had so many forms of crowd control that if Cho’Gath landed one rupture then someone died. With Cho’s range and the sustained damage coming out of Tristana and Xin Zhao we could literally blow up anyone. I would always pop my R and W right before a fight would break out, lowering the enemy team’s armor so that Tristana, Xin Zhao, and Zed all did more damage to them.
Solo top Kayle built Magic Resistance as she was facing Cho’Gath. Jarvan built armor on accident because he was jungling. No one on their team thought to counter our heavily attack damage based team with armor. Meanwhile, Cho and I both had Mercury Treads, Xin had Sunfire, Zed had Hexdrinker, and I had Locket of the Iron Solari. I was literally tankier than anyone on their team.
Even though I only had as many kills as Teemo, I definitely dazzled in this solo queue game.
