What has gone so terribly wrong with the world that you play Kennen and go 13/4 in an ARAM and you don’t even have the best score on your own team?? This game got out of hand. Sona was willing to do just about anything to save me, and it showed. I made the enemy team so miserable. Teemo harass can really break spirits. Some times I love this little bunny rabbit.

Eight Miserable Players
This was a nice, short game. Mihpares hated it. He said it was “too boring” which I really couldn’t relate with. I think every time I get 17 kills before the 20 minute mark I am completely entertained.
Nunu started Blood Boil. Now, I don’t want to argue that this is a bad start for Nunu, but I was expecting to eat an ice ball at level one and be forced to just grin and bear it while Kog got free autos on me. Instead, I saw the Blood Boil and told Dan to go ham. He got a hook and that was that. First Blood and the ball started rolling.
When Fiddle came to gank I just laughed as he got pulled, punched, slammed, grabbed, uppercutted, and died to my ridiculous damage output. The saddest part of this game was that I knew it didn’t have pentakill potential because the enemy team would surrender before we could ever get to a team fight stage. I guess that’s not something to be too depressed about. Most of my kills came from Nunu, Kog, and Fiddle. They combined for 19 deaths. That’s pretty close to my 17 kills and two assists.
I have to admit, when Dan’s grabs are on, they are on. I don’t think he missed two grabs that whole game. It was very disgusting for the other team. Sometimes they surprised me because I wouldn’t be looking for him to make a grab, and then all of a sudden there’s a Kog on a silver platter. I wasn’t lacking for damage, you can bring me a Kog any day!
Overall a fun game for Blitz and I, maybe not for anyone else. The rest of our team combined for 6-6-7. Sounded like eight people had a miserable time that game.
Fabulous Support
I’ve really lapsed at getting you guys updates as games happen, so this game is a bit foggy in my memory, but let me tell you why Taric support is OP.
Around level five Urgot had recalled to shop and Miss Fortune and Soraka were left tending the lane. We had a huge creep wave, which meant that Miss Fortune couldn’t fight me or she’d risk throwing away all that wonderful gold. So I fought her. I stunned her out of the bushes, popped Shatter, and auto attacked her once. She followed suit, which pulled aggro from my whole creep wave. She immediately started to drop. Soraka’s heal was on cooldown. Miss Fortune turned to run, got stuck on a creep, and fell dangerously low. I used Flash to hop past the minions and hit her with my big shiny mallet. Boom, 2-0 Taric. What’s up now, MF? The response from my Urgot was “What just happened? The jungler didn’t gank. How did Miss Fortune die?” That’s 1v2 power right there.
The game went past 30 minutes and I already had both a “slow you down” item and a “speed us up” item, so I got some attack speed. My thinking was to be able to trade slightly better and spam more heals in team fights. If I’m fighting with a Swain then I’d better bring some damage to the party or risk just dying.
The enemy team is pressuring Baron, but I had already cleared their wards once, and we had great vision of the area, so I was standing in mid lane. Miss Fortune was also there, shooting creeps. She had red buff. I had mobility boots. I decided now would be a great time to fight Miss Fortune. I walk up, auto attack, and walk away. No stun. No shatter. She doesn’t even hit me back or walk away. At this point I’m starting to wonder if she’s completely AFK. However, she is moving to last hit creeps, so she is still connected. Something is wrong though!
Her team starts to group mid after a failed attempt at waiting on Baron, so I step down and left, along the river path. No one follows me. I move quickly and agilely through their jungle with the grace of a stylish man in pink garb. I pop out right at the downed inhibitor in bottom lane. I have a wave of minions with me. We siege the base! We being the minions and Taric, the Fabulous.
I pop my ultimate and drop the first tower thanks to my bonus attack speed and ability power from Malady (an item I never suggest anyone get on Taric ever). Then I hear a glorious sound; the enemy has just destroyed one of our mid turrets. That means they are still standing mid. I switch to the next turret. Boom. It goes down. Now I’m starting to worry. How many are coming back for me? Will I have time to win?
I switch my attention to the Nexus. It’s at about half health. I still have both of my summoners up, and it will be a judgment call if I use them to escape or to aid me in defeating the Nexus. Swain walks into view. I kite him around the Nexus with my attack timer. I keep pounding on the Nexus with my gloriously large and marvelous hammer. Swain is getting closer and closer and… further? He walked right past me. He didn’t cast a spell, never got an orange outline, never popped into his ult form. He just kept on walking. Boom, Nexus down. Taric, the Fabulous has soloed the Nexus and helped lead his team to glorious victory.
So glad I got the last hit on the Nexus too. That 50 gold really helped to nudge me ahead of our Urgot in gold.
Cloud Nine Game
I really don’t know if this game should count against my record. I really didn’t want to play any more League of Legends tonight. I had just gotten a Pentakill in the game before, and was really only playing to humor my friends. So I picked LeBlanc.
Now before playing I see to it that my internet connection is accessible, so I use a secure SD-WAN network. Well, this game went poorly. The other team had a strong start as they jumped out to a 2-7 lead against us. I had the two. Sadly, I had traded kill for kill with Twisted Fate. Luckily, I get to mid-game a lot faster than TF does. His potential late-game can have a huge impact on the game, but he has to make it there.
After we traded kills the second time I bought my Soul Stealer. Better to start early, right? I raced straight to 20 stacks, not missing a beat. I snowballed mid lane so hard that I had the game tied at nine by the time I had eight kills. I was matching the enemy jungler, top, mid, and bot by myself. The request I kept hearing from my team mates was “Don’t kill them so quickly so we get assist credit.” I’ll see what I can do (while vigorously shaking my head).
The enemy team was very willing to pressure when I was dead. I specifically remember pressuring their top lane’s inhibitor turret. Dan had cleverly pulled Garen over the wall. I helped to make him go away. However, the enemy Blitz pulled this same witchcraft on Dan, and Dan went bye bye. We started to retreat with Blitzcrank leading the charge. Steve asked me, “Can you strafe his hook?” At that moment I turned around and started walking towards Blitz. He turned and ran. Steve just started laughing out loud. I was such a threat. There wasn’t a target on the enemy team that I couldn’t kill. I proved that to myself later.
Our mid inhibitor was down and I had been killed. The enemy team went for Baron and my team had no way of contesting it. That’s fine, they were smart to defend the base anyway. However, when I spawned I ran for Baron. I caught Garen outside the basin and killed him quickly, only to reveal Twisted Fate in the back of the Baron pit. He had cancelled his recall and was sitting on a blue card. If you think a blue card is going to save you from me you have something coming. I step towards him and he flashes over the wall. So be it. I walk around Baron pit and find TF recalling just on the back side. I blink into range and land a Q and E combo to silence him. I know his Flash is down, so I save mine. Just as my E triggers for the second time I see a Mystic Shot shoot into the bush by the Lizard Elder, which I’m conveniently standing right next to. Zing, zing, zing, POP! Ezreal’s dead. Kha’Zix is coming for blood. I’m on cooldown. I walk to tri-bush above Baron. I see Kha’Zix pop his ult so I can’t see him coming. I know I’ll be dead before I can cast. I walk up and right to the bush by double golems. Kha’Zix face-checks. In the words of Voyboy, “See ya!” Boom, four people on the enemy team just lost Baron buff to a solo LeBlanc.
Then they all bought Banshee’s Veil and moved as a group. When my team had 28 kills I had 23 of them. However, I only finished 24 of 31. I hit 20 stacks multiple times in that game. It was a lot of fun, but still a 44 minute loss. Better luck next time! Maybe then I’ll be down from Cloud Nine.
My First Twitch Win
Earlier, you heard my wonderful story about playing as Twitch and doing really well and then losing the game. Well, not this time! This game I got big. Don’t take that out of context, I was a monster. Last time I was 4.8k gold ahead of second place. This time I was a whopping 6.8k ahead of second place on my team and 7.3k gold ahead of anyone on the enemy team. I was a League of Legends R.O.U.S.!
But it gets better. We had two double kills in bot lane, but not us killing them, but the enemy getting double kills on us. This is a sad thing. The first time we had both of the enemy champs down to one hit. It was really sad to think that I had used Ignite on Lulu, only to see her walk away without any damage ticking on her. Sadness. The second double kill for them was an Amumu gank. It was really bad for us, really great for them. We weren’t even close.
However, we had a trusty late-game comp of Twitch, Nunu, and Morgana. Morgana locks them down with an ult and gives me a spell shield. Nunu uses Blood Boil on me and slows the enemy team with his ultimate. Twitch does some crazy damage. Despite losing bot lane (I think it’s fair to say that) I was ahead by more than 30 CS in the laning phase. I was behind, but I was not behind, especially with a Blood Boil.
Now the most humorous part of this game was Steve’s champion pick. He picked up Akali. Why? To take my CS and my kills. Period. For real! He told us on Skype and we just laughed about it.
A team fight breaks out mid. I call out for Blood Boil, and the second it hits me I see the most wonderful sight: a Volibear charging the enemy team’s carry. Voli Flashes and pops someone back to us. I see Lulu melting and notice a Black Shield on me from Morgana. I turn on my ultimate and start laying waste to the enemy team as a whole. I get the last hit on Lulu and then turn my attention to Swain. The fewer Swains in the world, the better. I’ve already seen Swain Gretzky, Bruce Swain, and probably more. Swain melts to the tune of a double kill. I get the last hit on Ezreal, triple kill. Amumu decides to be a hero and I shoot him down. The last member, the final piece to this story is Mundo. Fleeing like the Madman of Zaun that he is, I use Flash to get inside range. My auto takes him critically low and I’m certain that I won’t get to attack before he’s down. However, thanks to Blood Boil, my movement and attack speed are ridiculous. I keep up with Mundo and get the last auto in. I see the kill call out and I wait for the glorious announcement…
PENTA KILL!
After hundreds of games as Ezreal, Corki, and Tristana, I get only my second Penta kill as an ADC and it’s with the ADC I probably have the least amount of experience with. Oh, the irony!
I was so ecstatic in the moment that all I could do was laugh. I went to push and actually held TAB to see who was up on the enemy team. We ended up tanking towers to get to their inhib.
That wasn’t the end of the game, but it didn’t get much prettier. I caught Amumu walking out to protect their tier two turret in top lane so I just started auto attacking him. He used Flash to get away from me, so I hit E, and he didn’t die. Well, not right then. He let the poison tick down on him and finish him off. I heard Jack say, “Oh, that’s just the worst, when you get away but still die. Poor Amumu.” Then something about hating Amumu.
Eventually I was standing just off their fountain just shooting whoever wanted to walk far enough down towards me. At this point I was life-stealing off their team faster than they could hurt me. Here’s the final damage:
The Scimitar saved my bacon so hard after I got caught later in the game. I didn’t have it yet, but if I would have gotten another chance to go back and buy it would have been my next purchase guaranteed. Mummy ult was just too deadly. If I got caught in it when I didn’t have assistance from Morgana then I was one sad rodent.
I can still hear it now… PENTA KILL!
